We sell chicks, but we do not ship chicks. Chicks are available for local pickup/delivery only, or through our shop in Arcadia at Bonnie & Clyde Trade Days each month.
We ship eggs using the U.S. Postal Service.
No, we sell only chicks and hatching eggs. We do, on rare occasions, have juveniles for sale when we are growing them out. You can ask to be put on a waiting list for these.
All chicks are sold straight run except for the auto-sexing breeds. We do not offer a “grow-out” service either due to space limitations.
1. Open and inspect the eggs carefully. If any are broken, consider filing an insurance claim with the post office for the entire shipment. If the package was handled roughly enough to break eggs, then the rest of the eggs may have detached air cells or other issues which will prevent them from hatching.
2. Candle each egg to look for detached air cells.
3. Let the eggs sit, fat end up, for 12 hours before placing them in the incubator.
No. There is no guarantee on the hatch rate of your eggs. There are too many factors that are out of our control once the eggs leave here ie: Handling by the post office, your incubation methods.
